Welcome to the Quiet Woman Farm...
Quiet Woman Farm Training Center is located in the Central Hudson Valley of New York State. We are a full service training facility offering one on one attention to our horses.  We back our yearlings right on the farm, teaching them to jog in large sets both in our indoor 1/4 mile track, as well as the 5/8 mile outdoor track complete with a four horse starting gate and an experienced gate crew.  The same team of grooms and riders will take your young horses through each step, carefully working with their individual personality traits.

With Ommadon's Frenzy's victory on November 17th at Aqueduct, Ommadon is now THE leading second crop sire in the state of New York by average earnings per starter in 2008 with an average of $32,812, which is an amazing ten times his listed stud fee for 2009. He is also higher than any of the leading New York sires in this category. QWF offers half brother to recent NYRA SW LORCCAN

Quiet Woman Farm is proud to offer for sale a half brother to the recent NYRA stakes winner and stakes record setter LORCCAN. The four-year-old colt was the 3.95-to-1 third choice among eight starters for his second stakes victory in 66 days. Lorccan, who has won twice on Aqueduct's outer main track and on main tracks at Belmont (twice) and Saratoga, has scored from six-to-13 furlongs on both fast and wet surfaces but never previously had tallied on the Big A's inner track. The versatile colt may have found his real niche as a long-distance router. Lorccan's winning time of 2:48.18 broke the mile and five-eighths Coyote Lakes stakes record set in 2005 by Grade 2 winner Navesink River, beating it by a quarter of a second. The Coyote Lakes -- named for Roddy Valente's unprecedented three-time winner of Aqueduct's Gallant Fox Handicap at a mile and five-eighths -- has been run at both a mile and a half and a mile and five-eighths on the inner track, and New York-breds hold stakes records at both distances.
